1.) On this blog I had to research because I am not set on a particular party. The Republican Party believes that each person is responsible for his or her own place in society.(Republican Party .com) The Democratic Party believes
in ideas and principals that benefit all Americans with opportunity and justice for all . (All things Democratic.com) My family leans to the democratic Party. As I have said earlier, I go for whoever I feel is going to benefit this country the most.If I had to chose I would say Democratic. The Democrats seem to lean toward the most important principals I value. I can relate with both parties still though after researching.

2.) I think yes on this one as well. I think no one agrees on everything. Everyone has their own opinions about politics. Who is to actually say what is right or what is wrong? In today's world I feel there is to much control sometimes. I feel freedom is one thing but no one should abuse their rights or influence but it definitely happens everyday.

3.)I liked two parties I researched The Socialist Party because strive to establish a radical democracy that places people's lives under their own control. Non-racist, Classless, Feminist socialist society.
The second is the Constitutional Party they support Agenda 21, " What is that?", it is the environment and the plan to save it. It was brought in 1982. I think if the environment is not cared for it is a disgrace to drive down the road and see all the trash.

I commented on Robert Johnson, Stacey Clark, and Matt Cooper

  1. i couldnt agree more-i am not set either-and i think the republican view of responsible for our place is nonsense. i think you said it best-who is going to benefit us the most? i dont care what party anyone supports or is in the majority-just give us common sense and the common good. and i also agree with you on the socialist party-not all of socialism-but alot of socialism is better than capitalism. i also agree on environment-nothing is more important to our future

I feel like I am in the same boat as you. I have always associated myself with the republican party, but really when it comes down to it, I will vote for who I believe is best for the job. I just believe there is too much division within the parties, so I am glad that people do not just vote based on that factor. People really need to look into the candidates and see what their real beliefs are.

  3. While I see myself as a Republican, I can understand your position. There are way too many politicians that are in it for the wrong reasons, regardless of their party affiliation. I have seen plenty of Republicans as well as Democrats do a fine job. Its really more the candidate himself/herself than the party to me. The only thing that keeps me from seeing myself as more of an Independent than a Republican is that I agree with more of the Republican party's morals than the Democrat party. I think political parties would form regardless of if we really needed them due to the fact that people with similar beliefs tend to group together.

  4. I am more of a republican, but I agree with you about voting for the person doing the right thing. I think that is important to listen to each candidate before voting, instead of voting blindly just because the person is republican or democrat.

  5. I agree with you that you should learn more about both parties before voting for one side or the other. I am personally more prone to vote Republican but if I believe the candidate for that party is not in the best interests of the country or state, I will not vote for them, it's that simple. I think that there is a tad too much power in the parties in that minor parties seem to have no shot otherwise to getting elected but I do think they stand their place in our society.
